Pogo Remixes
Thursday, January 26th, 2012

I recently came across these wonderful remixes by producer/graphic designer Pogo. They are perfectly familiar and yet refreshing. I think my favorite one so far is the Alice in Wonderland. With close to 48 million total views on youtube I can see a big agency copying and repurposing this same concept. Either way, enjoy.

2011 Through Instagram

I have to say that 2011 was a great year. Random shots from my Instagram feed.

Das Programm – Dieter Rams Product Design
Thursday, December 22nd, 2011

There is a beautiful collection of products designed by the great Dieter Rams at Das Programm . For the past year I have been addicted to the his wide range of work and I have started to implementing his design ethics into my everyday life…or at least trying to.

The collectors at Das Programm have some original products available on their site for sale and for most of us designers who can only dream they have but up a some beautiful shots so we can window shop.

“As incorrigible collectors we are all too aware of the gap between the desirability and availability of Dieter Rams’ work. Das Programm was conceived to correct this. We only sell Dieter Rams designs for Braun and VitsÅ“, and Braun products “

That gives me chills

The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.

Lovely visuals from Mr. Fincher once again. I am really drawn towards these type treatments as well…not really my style but striking nonetheless.

I can’t wait to see this.

Waiting For Superman Infographic
Wednesday, July 6th, 2011

I am really digging these motion graphics for the documentary Waiting for Superman. I have yet to see the film but I can back the point they are making 100%. I will leave it at that because I am not one to rant about politics but their slogan says it all. Take Action.

My view of SXSW
Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

As you can tell I like to wear plaid shirts and take pictures of my feet. I had a blast at SXSW and while it was a non-stop fun fest I took a few seconds out of each day to document my surroundings. Enjoy.

SXSW 2011 Trip
Wednesday, April 6th, 2011

This year I finally made it out to Austin for SXSW and SXSWi (interactive). I spent 4 days walking around the city eating, drinking, going to seminars, drinking, meeting new people, drinking and drinking. I would say the best part about SXSW was meeting so many equally passionate people. There is something about being around other creatives that makes me feel all warm and fuzzy. Here are some random pictures from my travels.

Yes Plz!

Rock ‘em, Sock ‘em boppers on RC cars being controlled by Xbox Kinect = Awesome. Jesus Christ I’m a nerd.

Mike Tyson…he’s still got it.

Fellicia Day Keynote. Way to many horny nerds drooling over her. I like to keep my drooling in private thank you.

There are posters everywhere! These were a couple of my favorite.

This was a project I worked on for SXSW. More news to come.

SXSW 2011
Monday, March 7th, 2011

This week I am packing my bags heading over to Austin for South by Southwest. If you don’t know SXSW is a Music/Film/Interactive festival that consumes the city for a few weeks out of the year. I am not even there and I feel overwhelmed with how much is going on. Meet ups, parties, speakers, keynotes, drinking, listening, talking, watching, and not that much sleeping. I am starting to assemble my survival kit now which starts with a tub full of hand sanitizer and granola bars. More to come.

Andy Gilmore

Precise, beautiful and complex. I have fallen in love with the Art of Andy Gilmore. His use of grids, geometric shapes and plotted lines blend perfectly with his choice of color. Check out more of his work at www.birdbrid.com/
